So it seems, with 11 days to go until I get married, that I have a couple of things in common with new bride Kim Kardashian.
The first is that my wedding affair also has a black and white dress code. Â Eddie and I chose it at the start of our planning (god that feels like eons ago). Â Our intention for our celebration is ease for all; who doesn’t have black and white in their wardrobe already? Â Plus we know it will make for some hot photos. Â Basically what I’m trying to say is the black and white thing was our idea, long before KK was even engaged to the man who shares the same name as her mother.
The second commonality is a revelation both Kim and I have made to our grooms-to-be, one that seems to have taken them both aback.

Eddie was in the kitchen at the time. Â ”God, can you imagine?”
I also defended Kim. Â ”She was a teenager for Pete’s sake. Do you want to tell me every stupid thing you did at that age before we get married?”

“Do you think they made that up for the show?” Eddie asked.
At this point in our relationship we’re at the stage where we are psychically connected, Eddie and I. Â We know the end of sentences just started, and when he asked this question in the lineup I knew he was referring back to the clip we’d seen in the morning of a Mr. Kardashian-to-be shocked that Kim had already been married once.
“I’m sure he exaggerated how stunned he was for TV, of course,” I said as we cashed out.
“36.82,” said the cashier, putting our groceries into bags.
“What do you mean, “exaggerated of course”?” Eddie asked. “Why are you defending her?” Continue Reading…
